I did a quick try here and I still got the same error. I'll have more time to play with it later today... Update: I noticed you updated some settings in svn, and it still did not compile on my Arch machine. Gentoo was able to compile it without a problem. Both are using 2.6.27 kernel headers, but I noticed that Gentoo's byteorder.h file uses __inline__ and __asm__, whereas Arch's byteorder.h uses inline and asm without the underscores. I added the underscores to Arch's byteorder.h (kids don't try this at home!) and it solved the problem. I guess the fix was something added to the headers sometime during the lifespan of 2.6.27. |

Ah lovely, non-compliant header files. I've added a configure test now that explicitly checks if linux/cdrom.h will compile with -std=c99, and if not downgrades it to -std=gnu99. Does this work correctly for you now? (without changing your header files) Cheers, Nathan |
