Apart from my Ubuntu desktop, I've also got a Core2 Duo Macbook with Leopard installed. I've installed the Xcode 3.0 developer tools and Mac Ports 1.5.0 and am getting the following error when doing "./configure" on build 569 from SVN: ... checking for pkg-config... /opt/local/bin/pkg-config checking pkg-config is at least version 0.9.0... yes checking for LIBPNG... yes checking for uncompress in -lz... no Zlib (libz.so) could not be found, but is required. I checked with ports to make sure I had the latest zlib and I did. Not sure what else I could be missing. Anyone know what the solution to this might be? ==== Also, I wonder if I should even be trying to get lxdream running on a regular Macbook given that it has an integrated Intel GMA graphics chipset. The only way I could get nullDC (on Bootcamp XP) running was by running 3dAnalyze to trick it into thinking there was hardware transformation-and-lighting available, which there wasn't, so should we even expect that lxdream would be able to properly render without hardware TnL? nkeyes, what do you say? |

Hi Mark, I'm assuming your zlib is installed in somewhere non-standard - try LDFLAGS="-L<full-path-to-your-libz.dylib> ./configure We don't currently need hardware TnL so there's no reason in principle why the Intel GMA shouldn't work. However darcagn had trouble with it, and I'm not sure what the problem was. Hopefully something fixable though Cheers, Nathan |

I checked out the source again and made the change, and the emulator boots, but I once again get the "GL error setting render target (500)!" error. Except this time, the emulator does not crash, but continues, though with serious graphical issues including flickering between the actual current output and (so it flashes the BIOS menu then flashes the Dreamcast logo w/ artifacts, then flashes the BIOS menu again). I can tell that I am controlling it, though. |
